Katherine J. Kerchner is the CFO for Enterprise Business Services and Vice President of Global Financial Services. She is the executive sponsor for Lockheed Martin’s Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP), Mid-Career Development Program (MCDP) and Finance Leadership Academy (FLA). She also leads the Finance Transformation initiative for Lockheed Martin’s Finance & Business Operations organization. Kathy is responsible for providing financial leadership for Enterprise Business Services, which is comprised of IT Services; Corporate Information Security; Energy, Environment, Safety, and Health (EESH); and Global Financial Services for Lockheed Martin Corporation. In this role, she works with the leadership team to identify and implement value-add, competitive services to the Corporation; improves cost competitiveness contributing to the profitability of the Corporation; and identifies services that strengthen internal processes and controls that mitigate financial risk for the Corporation. She leads the Global Financial Services for the Corporation which is comprised of Payroll, Travel Services, Accounts Payable, Billings, Collections, Cash Applications, Fixed Asset Accounting and Global Accounting. In addition, Kathy leads Lockheed Martin’s Finance Transformation initiative focused on positioning Finance & Business Operations for the 21st century in terms of people, processes, and tools. Kathy previously served as the Vice President of Finance and Business Operations for the Electronic Systems Business Area of Lockheed Martin Corporation. In that role, she worked with the leadership team to profitably grow the business and expand market share. She led a cross functional, 2,000-person Finance & Business Operations team comprised of finance, contracts, program control, estimating, and government compliance. Prior to her assignment with Electronic Systems, Kathy served as the Vice President of Finance & Business Operations for the Integrated Systems & Solutions (IS&S) Business Area of Lockheed Martin Corporation. In that role, she led a 900-person Finance & Business Operations team. Kathy also led the integration and transition of two heritage companies, Mission Systems and Management & Data Systems, into one company, IS&S. Kathy serves on the Exostar Board of Directors. She is the Chairman of the Compensation, Nominating & Governance Committee of the Exostar Board. She served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Central Maryland from June 2011 through October 2016. She also served on the Sandia National Laboratory (SNL) Board of Directors from October 2007 through April 2013. Kathy has a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She lives in Florida with her husband. She has two sons and enjoys spending time with her family, boating, traveling and yoga.
