Bernardo Goarmon is the Executive Vice President Finance/Chief Financial Officer for EDP Renewables North America LLC (c. $9B assets, $750M EBITDA, and an annual capital plan of $1B), being responsible for finance of the platforms, US, Canada and Mexico. Bernardo has 18 years of experience in the energy, automotive, and financial services industries. He joined EDP Renewables in 2008 serving at the corporate office leading the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax Planning, and Consolidation departments. Prior to that, Bernardo held a variety of finance assignments, most notably at Constellation Energy Group (as well as Unistar - a joint venture with EDF for development and construction of nuclear power plants) and within the BMW Group (BMW Iberia and BMW Financial Services). Bernardo graduated with a concentration in Business from the Catholic University of Lisbon (where he also completed a Post-Grad in Banking and Financial Services) and received a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He later completed a diverse array of Advanced Corporate Finance, Leadership, Negotiation, and Risk Management programs at the Harvard Business School, Wharton School of Business, the London Business School, and the Amsterdam Institute of Finance, among others. EDP Renewables North America LLC and its subsidiaries develop, construct, own, and operate wind farms and solar parks throughout North America. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, with 41 wind farms, two solar parks, and 13 regional and development offices across North America, EDPR NA has developed c. 6 GW and operates more than 5 GW of renewable energy projects.
